Cambridge Healthtech Institute (CHI), a premier information resource to the biotechnical, pharmaceutical, and academic industries, is pleased to announce their HIGH-THROUGHPUT TECHNOLOGIES 2000: Summit & Expostion. This event will take place June 19-21, 2000 at the Wyndham Franklin Plaza Hotel in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The role of screening for drug discovery has changed significantly in recent years as a result of the move to much higher throughput technologies, including miniaturization, greater diversity of lead sources, increasingly sophisticated assays, as well as more extensive genomic information for identification and validation of targets and the application of pharmacogenomics. In an ever increasing effort to reduce the need for random screening, drug developers are looking to chemoinformatic- based strategies for mining and interpretation of screening data, structure or activity-based modeling or the identification of leads as well as for the greater understanding of drug target interaction. These topics will all be covered in CHI's "Seventh Annual High-Throughput Technologies Summit and Exposition". This 3 day event offers multi-track sessions allowing you to create your own custom conference by selecting the sessions most suitable your needs. Complementing the outstanding scientific agenda is a full range of exhibitors supplying screening leads, automation equipment, assays, genomics and informatics, amongst other products and services needed for success in this field. Plan now to take advantage of such convenience in one place. http://www.healthtech.com/conference/00htt/
Last year over 500 people attended the event, while this year's audience is projected to surpass 600. "The conference program contained a broad range of topics with excellent content, of both technical and strategic value. It provided me with a terrific opportunity to update myself on the most recent developments in enabling technologies for drug discovery research," said Brian Lightbody from Zymark on last year's program.
Over 70 exhibitors are anticipated this year. A consistent part of this conference has been the number of Big Pharma representatives it attracts. This diverse audience of qualified leads provides companies an opportunity that is nearly impossible to replicate. Last year Amy Giannini from Kendro Laboratory Products stated, "We left the show with many great leads that turned into sales for us and that made this conference one that will remain at the top of our list of shows to attend each year." http://www.healthtech.com/exhibit/00htt/index.htm
