Warsaw, Poland, 9 June 2009: Today delegates of 120 pharma companies from 30 countries finished a very busy two-days session during which each of the companies had an average of almost 23 pre-scheduled business negotiations after several weeks of intensive information exchange.

Business opportunities offered and sought covered a broad range of therapeutic areas whereby the interest was mainly on prescription, less on OTC drugs. Products for hospitals and practitioners met equally high interest, more than consumer drugs or food supplements. 70% of the companies had an interest in generics while 43% looked into business deals with patented drugs.

euroPLX Meetings are regular European events since 1995, where high-level business development executives from all over the world convene for two days to discuss and negotiate pharma deals in a highly organised process. Licensing transactions are complemented by agreements for co-commercialisation, finished product supply or contract manufacture, but earlier collaboration stages such as joint research and development are also negotiated.

The next euroPLX Meeting will be euroPLX 41 Barcelona, to be held on November 2 + 3, 2009 in the Hilton Diagonal Mar, Barcelona, Spain.

Starting with euroPLX 41 Barcelona a lower "Very Early Registration" fee of Euro 900 has been introduced, giving Early Birds an even better opportunity to save by registering by July 2, 2009.
