TDS®-TESTOSTERONE STUDY PUBLISHED IN PEER-REVIEWED JOURNAL

Release issued 20th December 2005

LAKE PARK, Florida - TransDermal Technologies announced today the publication of the results of its successful trial of TDS®-Testosterone in the British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology (BJCP) (Z.Chik, A. Johnston, A.T. Tucker, S.L. Chew, L. Michaels, & C.A.S. Alam, Pharmacokinetics of a new testosterone transdermal delivery system, TDS®- testosterone in healthy males; British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, Online publication date: 20-Dec-2005, March 2006 in print, doi: 10.1111/j.1365-2125.2005.02542.x ) The results of this trial were presented in poster form to the Winter meeting of the British Society of Clinical Pharmacologists in 2004 and at BIO 2005 last year. The article will appear in the March 2006 issue of the Journal.

The research was performed by Prof. Shern Chew, Prof. Atholl Johnston, Dr. Arthur Tucker, Dr. Chandan Alam, Dr. Lew Michaels and Zamri Chik of the William Harvey Institute at Barts and Queen Mary School of Medicine, University of London. The study was a comparison of the TDS® Testosterone formulation with AndroGel®, a commercially available testosterone replacement therapy. It was concluded by this trial that the TDS® system was at least bioequivalent to AndroGel® and was more convenient and safer to use.

Company President Kenneth Kirby said, "We are obvioulsy very pleased that one of our first clinical trials has been published by such a prestigious journal as the British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology." Kirby further noted that the team at the William Harvey are undertaking additional analysis of the data from this trial. This may lead to further publications. "We believe that TDS® will prove to be more efficient and safer than other transdermal systems, even ones that have been approved for use."

TransDermal Technologies has begun informing interested stakeholders in the hormone replacement segment of its interest in securing a partner or partners interested in exploiting this technology for testosterone.

The TDS® is a platform system that is modified to be specific to each application and has been proven to accomplish rapid, safe and effective delivery of many medicaments across intact skin by means of its sprayed on or applicator applied lotions.
