San Antonio, Texas — DPT's Chief Scientific Officer, Dr. Braham Shroot, recently appointed Dr. Duncan Aust as Vice President of DPT Research and Development (R & D). Dr. Aust graduated from King's College London (University of London) in 1994 with a Ph.D. in Biotechnology. After graduating, Dr. Aust's career began as the Director of Development & Special Analytical Services with the Collaborative Group in New York, where he was responsible for R&D and Special Analytical Services and was a key contributor to manufacturing, production and new business development needs.

Dr. Aust has been instrumental in the development and launch of many new topical and biotech products during his fifteen years in the scientific community. Having negotiated numerous contracts and business partnerships with US, European and Asian companies. Dr. Aust holds numerous patents in the field of topical delivery systems and formulations, and has helped numerous customers translate new technologies or client ideas into marketable products.

Dr. Aust will join the ranks of one of the fastest growing R & D groups in the industry dedicated to dermatology, skin diseases and wound and tissue management.
