San Antonio, Texas — DPT's Director of Pharmaceutical Research and Development (R & D), Dr. Jo Dee Duncan, recently appointed Dr. Sie-Ta (Robert) Han as Senior Manager for R & D Formulations. Dr. Han will be responsible for all formulation efforts in R & D, a department at DPT that employs 100 scientists from 15 countries and is one of the largest research groups in the country dedicated to dermatology, skin diseases and wound and tissue management.

Dr. Han graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Taipei Medical College and a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He began his career briefly as a hospital pharmacist and later at a pharmaceutical company in Taiwan prior to completing his doctorate. He joined Bristol-Myers Squibb in 1988 following his graduation and had recently served as a Senior Research Investigator in the Exploratory Biopharmaceutics and Drug Delivery department at Bristol-Myers Squibb. "During his career, Dr. Han has been active in publishing and patenting research concepts, as well as onceptualizing and developing innovative strategies for new formulations and drug technologies," according to Dr. Duncan.
