Implements Baan ERP in newly acquired facility San Antonio, Texas — DPT Laboratories, Ltd., (DPT) a premier, full service developer and manufacturer of pharmaceutical, consumer healthcare and biotech products has recently implemented Baan IVc4 ERP® at its newly acquired pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging facility in Lakewood, New Jersey.

DPT's initial Baan implementation was August of 1999 at its San Antonio, Texas location. According to Glenn Kues, DPT's Vice President, Finance and Logistics, "Having Baan ERP provides the tools to take supply chain management at Lakewood to a new level. It is a major step in achieving our goal of superior customer service."

Baan IV is a world-class business management software system designed to manage every facet of a business - from financial reporting to product manufacturing and distribution. "Since the Lakewood facility is a similar operation to the San Antonio Manufacturing and Distribution sites, it was an easy decision to convert them from their old systems into Baan and unify the operations into one ERP," said James Penrod, Director of Information Technology for DPT. A six month conversion integration project was developed which also included network, PC, and telecommunications integrations. The entire project was completed on time with no disruption to customer service or sacrifice in Quality standards and procedures.
