ADX40-TB:  Data from several experiments confirmed that prophylactic immunisation of ADX40 conjugated to Ag85A promoted a stronger antibody-mediated immune response than to antigen alone in immunocompetent mice. In some experiments, the degree of immunopotentiation was as good as the commercially available adjuvant, monophosphoryl lipid A (MPL).   In addition to inducing a humoral immune response, some experiments also showed an enhanced cell-mediated immunity.  In immunocompromised CD4-depleted mice, prophylactic immunisation with ADX40 was able to promote both humoral and cell-mediated immune responses to TB antigens.
