Decapinol toothpaste containing Sodium Fluoride (NaF) 0.11% and Delmopinol 0.2%, is a new addition to the Decapinol family and is indicated for the treatment of gingivitis and periodontitis.
Decapinol toothpaste is designed as a preventative measure and complements Decapinol rinse extremely well and as with the rinse, this new presentation contains the cationic surfactant Delmopinol Hydrochloride.
Decapinol Toothpaste's key ingredient ~ Delmopinol, has a unique mode of action, which prevents the attachment as well as the adherence of plaque bacteria to the teeth, gingiva and to itself . This interference with the plaque build-up process prevents the onset of gingivitis that can lead to periodontitis.
It also interferes with the enzyme GTF, which is responsible for the production of glucans (the glue or cement that is critical for plaque build-up). This results is less cohesive and less adhesive plaque bacteria, making it easier to remove by conventional tooth brushing techniques.
It also maintains a healthy composition of oral bacteria .
Decapinol Toothpaste and Toothpaste (gel) with Fluoride (0.11%) contains 2mg Delmopinol hydrochloride per ml and is available in a 75ml PE tube and a 16ml sample tube.
