High yielding immunoglobulin manufacturing process
The invention teaches a step - charge in yielding improvement over the Cohn process, widely applicable to immunoglobulin manufacture.
Full description
The invention relates to a novel process for acheiving extraordinary high yields from any immunoglobulin manufacturing process.
To acheive this the immunoglobulin protiens are precipitated using a novel combination of agents.
Whereas the traditional Cohns cold fractionation method producres yields of around 50% or less for immunoglobulins, this new process described in the Patent Application can deliver yields of about 75-95%.
The process to achieve this is not over - complex, compromising of four steps, reasonably acheiveable by any competent fractionator.
