Immunogen: Bacterially expressed, hexahistidine amino-terminal tagged HIV-1 Rev proteins (clade B, HXB-3 isolate)
Relevance: HIV-1 expresses the trans-activator protein Rev, which is required for virus growth as it promotes the localisation and expression of viral RNA in the cytoplasm. Rev is a model experimental system for studying nuclear transport.
Cross reactivity: No cross reactivity with non-HIV-1 Rev proteins has been observed.
Tested applications: Western blots, immunoprecipation assays, immunofluoresence/FACS assays
Raised in: mouse
Isotype: IgG2bk, IgG1k
Patent: N/A
Available for licensing as a research tool.
