STD06 contains botanical active ingredients purified from a medicinal herb which has been widely used in Traditional Chinese Medicine for various skin diseases. In vitro biological assays of STD06 showed strong inhibitory activities against 5- and 15-Lipooxygenases. In addition, several other anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial effects were also observed. STD06 has no dermal irritation or genetic toxicity. Animal pharmacology studies revealed that STD06 is effective in treating pustular dermatitis as well as in wound healing and bacterial infected wound recovery.
Possible indications of STD06 are the treatment for infective skin ulcer, atopic dermatitis, and acne as pharmaceutical, OTC ointment, or cosmaceutical products.
