Full description

Transdermal/Topical diclofenac containing products are indicated for the treatment of inflammatory and painful conditions. The mechanism of action is via COX-2 inhibition.

Amarin's transdermal/topical diclofenac formulation is a gel containing 5% diclofenac sodium. This formulations is indicated for the relief of mild to moderate pain and inflammation associated with rheumatic conditions.

Diclofenac 5% gel is marketed in Argentina as OXA® GEL PLUS, which has a highly superior permeation profile compared with other products. This product has also been licensed to Merck (as Artren® Hipergel) for Southamerica territories. Amarin is willing to explore partnership opportunities with this product.
