Full description

Indicated for chronic and intractable pain, Amarin develops fentanyl TDS and buprenorphine, transdermal narcotic analgesic therapies formulated as drug-in-adhesive patches. Fentanyl TDS is indicated for chronic and intractable pain; this product was recently launched in Argentina. Presently, Fentanyl TDS is under registration in other countries of South America and Europe. Buprenorphine TDS is indicated for chronic severe disabling pain not responding to non-narcotic analgesics. This patch is under development (feasibility studies).

Two International Patent Applications were filed 2003. In 2004 re-validations were submitted in USA, Europe, Mexico and India.
