ANYARA

ANYARA, TTS, Tumour Targeted Superantigens. Completed phase I.

Mechanism of action

The antibody element of the TTS is directed against a tumour specific antigen (5T4). Fused to the mab is a superantigen, a modified variant of Staphylococcal enterotoxin A (SEA), which attracts T cell

Full description

TTS have potent antitumour activity - stimulating the body's immune system to mount a targeted, local attack on malignant tumours. The fusion of two immunoreactive protein moieties in one designer molecule results in TTS drugs that are highly active in tumour tissue but have low potential for systemic toxicity.

The TTS substance, ANYARA (ABR-217620, naptumomab estafenatox) demonstrates potent antitumour activity in preclinical models of cancer. Potential indications for ANYARA include cancers of the lung, breast, pancreatic, kidney, gastrointestinal tract, prostate, ovary and cervix.  ANYARA has sucecessfully completed phase I studies in non small cell lunc cancer,  renal cell cancer  and pancreatic cancer.  Focus today is renal cell cancer  cancer.

Patents for TTS and ANYARA are expected to protect the candidate drugs for periods well beyond anticipated drug launch date.
