We have produced transgenic mice over-expressing the transcriptional repressor DREAM under spatial and temporal control. DREAM regulates the expression of many genes and our different transgenic mice show different defects in specific functions such as:
We can also offer primary cell cultures of transgenic hippocampus and cerebellum neurons showing insensitiveness to calcium.
The use of DREAM mutants in transgenic animals is unique and represents a well characterized molecular mechanism, thus potential therapeutical hits may be easily traced in terms of the molecular basis of their activity.
This knowledge is based on the establishment of mice lines.
Exploitation agreement of the mouse lines (technical assistance and know-how is also offered).
Spanish public research organisation with 126 centres covering all knowledge areas and highly active in collaborating with the industry.
