Systech International Announces its 150th Serialization Line

- European momentum toward serialization drives need for Systech's productized software

— BRUSSELS, February 25

BRUSSELS, February 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Systech International, innovator of Packaging Execution Systems (PES) for the pharmaceutical industry, announced that over 150 packaging lines are installed, underway or contracted with its Serialized Product Tracking (SPT) application. European activity is particularly brisk with over 50 serialization lines installed or under contract.

Driving Systech's growth in Europe is demand for a serialization solution that will help protect patients, brands and supply chains from counterfeiting and parallel trade activities. Progressive regulatory expectations such as coding requirements in France and serialization such as those established in Turkey also propel demand for solutions.

As the world leader in deploying PES, Systech's productized software has been attractive to manufacturers interested in addressing today's pharmaceutical packaging and supply chain needs. Manufacturers can satisfy current coding requirements, such as French CIP13, while creating a foundation upon which they can quickly add the functionality needed to meet serialization regulations in the future -- whatever they may be.

"The expansion of our efforts in Europe has allowed us to be more flexible, responsive and dynamic in the wake of global serialization initiatives," said Frederic Menardo, General Manager of Systech Europe. "We are pleased that we can provide our customers with a proven solution to help them enhance their packaging operations while protecting patients."

European operations represents Systech's fastest growing part of its vision, line management and serialization business. In 2008, Systech opened its new European headquarters located in Brussels, which provides sales, project management, project engineering and customer support to the company's growing number of international customers. Systech has over 20 professional staff in Europe to meet the growing demands of the market.

Systech's suite of configurable software is based on a PES approach which enables bi-directional communication between packaging and IT environments. A PES architecture provides the new technology layer that is critical to the successful execution of emerging worldwide initiatives such as serialization. Systech's PES protects enterprise data integrity and package throughput.
