4SC was founded in 1997. To date, 4SC has raised over EUR 30 million in financing from companies, including 3i, Bayern Kapital, Beteiligungsgesellschaft der Deutschen Wirtschaft, BioM, DVC, Mulligan BioCapital and tbg. 4SC has assembled a virtual library of more than 3.3 million small molecule drug candidates and additional combinatorial libraries of more than 10 million chemical scaffolds. 4SC develops novel drug candidates for inflammatory diseases and cancer using a cheminformatics based technology platform. Traditional high throughput screening of therapeutic agents has been transferred from the lab to the computer. This patented process is a part of the integrated R&D processes that covers the whole value chain from identification of new agents through to clinical testing.
