NorDiag firm was established in 1999. It is based on a patent for the detection of Ki-ras mutation. The test is called GENEFEC. NorDiag's GENEFEC technology is patented in the United States and Europe. In 2002, Novel Diagnostics acquired NorDiag. In the third quarter of 2002, GENEFEC test was launched in Norway through a partnership agreement with Capio. The GENEFEC test is fully reimbursed by the Norwegian health authorities where Colorectal Cancer is suspected.
