BioAxone Therapeutic was incorporated under Canadian law in April 2000. The two Founders, Lisa McKerracher and Pierre Caouette, invested their own money to start the company. In May 2001, MedTech Partners invested $300,000 in the form of debentures. In July 2002, an investment of $11.5 M was made. The company had planned a financing round of $7 M, which was oversubscribed. BioAxone Therapeutics is a neuroscience company specilaizing in the development and comercialization of proprietary technologies that target Rho signaling. BioAxone's strategy is to become the world's dominant bio-pharmaceutical company targeting Rho and Rho-related pathways with the purpose of developing drugs that meet large unmet medical needs.
