Algeta was established in 1997 under the former name of Anticancer Theraputic Inventions by Dr. Roy Hartvig Larsen and Prof. Dr. Øyvind Sverre Bruland. Algeta's goal is to become the world leader in the discovery and development of cancer therapeutics based on tumor targeting with alpha particle emitters and to continue to generate a stream of new patentable technologies in this field. Algeta intends to build shareholder value by documenting the present innovations' clinical benefits step-by-step, in addition to the continued explorative and preclinical research and development and a gradual expansion of Algeta's business system. The company will consider the balance between in-house activity and out-licensing their products.
