The company in detail

Profile

Intas BioPharmaceuticals (IBPL) made a strategic entry into the biotechnology arena in 2001 via the establishment of Indus Biotherapeutics Ltd.; a dedicated biotech research company, in Ahmedabad INDIA.

Indus focuses on the development of recombinant protein-based biotherapeutics for human use. The focus is on developing commercial-scale technology in a timely and cost effective way. Our expertise lies in recombinant strain development, process and product development, development of analytical methods, bio-chemical immunological analysis, process validation and scale-up.

IBPL is the first and only Indian biotech company to obtain EUGMP certification and has completed a Phase 1 comparative study in Europe. IBPL is the only company to have developed and launched Peg GCSF after the innovator.

A state-of-the-art manufacturing facility for both bulk and finished products complements the expertise of the multi- disciplinary team. The bulk manufacturing plant for fermentation derived as well as cell culture derived products, has the capacity to handle multiple products simultaneously. The finished product facility offers finished products in pre- filled syringe and in vials (Lyophilised). Successful inspections of the facility has been undertaken by clients, customers and authorities.

IBPL is fully committed to becoming a global biogeneric player. IBPL has tie ups with various companies in the regulated market and semi- regulated markets for finished product supply, bulk-API supply, contract research and contract manufacturing of novel rDNA protein. IBPL has product specific partnerships (exclusive/ semi exclusive/ non-exclusive) in around 90 countries in many major regions of the world.
