Navamedic was founded as a single product pharmaceutical company focusing on the development, registration and commercialization of Glucomed®, a pharmaceutical glucosamine product. In 2006, the company became the first to obtain EU-wide approval for glucosamine as a drug. Glucomed® is marketed under various brand names through a network of partners in and outside EU.

Later, the company expanded its strategy to include marketing and distribution of a portfolio of products in selected countries. As the first step to obtain this position, Navamedic acquired Vitaflo Scandinavia in 2007. Vitaflo is a specialty pharma company focusing on the acquisition and/or in-licensing of products for marketing in selected indication areas.

Navamedic currently markets a portfolio of more than 45 products in Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and Norway and the Netherlands. The company represents more than 20 different producers world-wide.
