Avantogen Limited is a drug development Company whose current activities are focused on its three product candidates, namely, RP101 (a potential therapy for pancreatic cancer), GPI-0100 (vaccine adjuvants) and Pentrys(TM) (cancer vaccine). Whilst the Company was capable of continuing its product development activities for each of these programs, the Directors decided to restructure both of the Vaccine and Oncology Businesses which would allow the Company to further streamline its activities whilst retaining the significant potential of each product candidate. Merging these products with Hawaii Biotech, Inc and Innovate Oncology, Inc has opened new business potentials leveraging upon the significant experience and expertise these companies have in these respective fields. The final signing of both these formal agreements took place in May 2006.
