MacroGenics was founded in 2000 by Jeffrey Ravetch, Leroy Hood, Alan Aderem and Ruedi Aebersold. The company completed a first round of Series A financing for $13,500,000. The participants in this financing were InterWest Partners, MPM Management and Orbimed Advisors.
