MicroCHIPS was founded in 1999 by John Santini, Terry McGuire, and MIT Professors Robert Langer and Michael Cima. MicroCHIPS closed a $16 million second round of financing in May 2002. MicroCHIPS is pioneering the next generation of implantable drug delivery and biosensing devices for use in the pharmaceutical and patient monitoring markets.
