From its beginning at St Bartholomew's Hospital (London) department of Medical Physics, the company has a 12 year history of research and development. In 1999 Villiers Plc acquired Ultramind and renamed the company to Ultrasis. In 2000 the company was listed on the London stock exchange and acquired Calm Corporation. Following a complete product and market review during 2002, the company divested the majority of its software development capability. The development team in Israel was subject to a management buy out and remains contracted to provide services as required, and the team in Manchester was partly transferred to a partner who has assumed Ultrasis' on-going commitments. Ultrasis intends to improve health and well-being with interactive, clinically valid, computer programmes for healthcare professionals, corporations, and consumers.
