Organogenesis intends to efficiently develop and commercialize products by maintaining a flexible strategy for outsourcing development, manufacturing and marketing activities. The company's strategy focuses internal efforts on proprietary areas, including the manufacture of Apligraf and certain research and development programs. Organogenesis seek to outsource functions that are beyond capacity or where it is more cost effective to do so. Third party funding being sought for longer-term programs, including a coronary vascular graft, liver assist device and pancreatic islet cell research program.
