Formed in 2004, Aptagen aim is to develop promising drug candidates against a variety of disease targets including, but not limited to, all forms of cancers, stroke, bacterial and viral infections. Patented and commercially viable products that may result from such projects will be out-licensed to BigPharma for manufacture and distribution. In June 2001, Aptagen aqcuired ProteinGenesis, a Tucson-based protein engineering company. Aptagen is a biotechnology company with a rapid fast-track approach to drug discovery, drug targeting, and pre-clinical development (video/animation).
