The company in detail

Profile

Since 1945, Embil has been developing unique formulations for the Pharmaceutical Industry. Embil is ISO 9001(2000) certified by BVQI.

In 1994, one product, Neo-Penotran®, a wide spectrum antimicrobial-antiprotozoal-antifungal combination, was formulated as a vaginal pessary and cream, specially for the treatment of all three common types of vaginitis, namely candidal, bacterial and trichomonal vaginitis. This product has been extremely successful in every anti- vaginitis market it has been introduced into.

In 2006, two new versions of Neo-Penotran have been launched in Turkey. Neo-Penotran Forte is a once daily version and Neo-Penotran Forte-L contains lidocaine for immediate pain relief after application. The Neo-Penotran family of products have been licensed out to different companies including Bayer-Schering subsidiaries operating in various countries in Europe, Asia and Latin America.

In recent years, Embil's focus has been directed towards topical products for the treatment of acne and local pain management.

Formulation development emphasis has been on Polymeric Delivery Systems for controlled release of topical actives and the newly developed Lamellar Penetration System® (LPS) for fast skin permeation of molecules used in pain management.

A strong patent portfolio for Worldwide IP protection enables Embil and its marketing partners to invest in new products for the future.

Embil presently exports original pharmaceutical products to over 30 countries while new export territories are being are being added periodically.
