Alfa Wasserman was founded in Bologna in 1948. The US subsidiary of Alfa Wassermann, under various names, has provided products and services to the health care community since 1960, and was acquired by Alfa Wassermann (at that time named Alfa Schiapparelli Wassermann) in 1991. Alfa Wasserman, based in Bologna, Italy, operates with a large number of subsidiaries in more than 60 countries including North America and all over Europe. The Alfa Wasserman organization is divided into not only its original pharmaceutical sector, but also the sectors of diagnostics, biotechnology, dietary food, and cosmetics.
