Funding from the NIH places NorthShore among the top 10 comprehensive research hospitals in the country, #1 in the State of Illinois, and in the top 5% of all institutions. Priority areas for research are medical genetics, cancer, neurosciences, advanced imaging research, cardiovascular, peri-neonatal, and outcomes research.
