The company is divided into three main divisions; joint health, digestive health and plant health.

Bioiberica’s dedication to helping developing products to ease musculoskeletal diseases maintains its joint care division and today Bioiberica is recognized as a leader in musculoskeletal diseases and a pioneer of a number of medical and dietary supplements. Successfully launched products from its joint care division include Condroitin Bio-Active, a therapy indicated for the treatment of OA.

The scientific and technical expertise of Bioiberica has contributed to the production of many biological materials, glycosaminoglycans (gag’s) in particular Heparin, Chondroitin Sulfate, Hyaluronic Acid and Glucosamine, as well as other active ingredients such as amino acids, characterized peptides and hydrolysed proteins.

Established since 1975 Bioiberica has built up a strong research, marketing and manufacturing foundation; the company currently employs over 320 members of staff and has 8 manufacturing plants located in Spain (4), USA, Poland, China and Brazil.
Performing raw material selection and strict quality controls, Bioiberica implements adaptable systems according to its clients’ requirements.

In terms of current developments Bioiberica has 15 projects of basic research, 3 molecules in pre-clincal status and 2 projects of clinical research under development.

Bioiberica’s goal is to actively seek a partnership with a Pharma company based within the musculoskeletal diseases field to help to complete the clinical development of some of its products. Ideally the company should have the commercial capabilities within the countries covered by the patent.

Bioiberica is willing to consider an exclusive licensing agreement and will offer its extensive knowledge on clinical development of chondroprotectors and manufacturing of sulphated polysaccharides. Bioiberica is willing to retain global manufacturing rights for the product and the commercial rights for the Spanish market.
