Cosmederm’s proprietary IP, based on the naturally occurring element Strontium, has the effect of significantly reducing or eliminating itching, burning, stinging  and associated neurogenic inflammation.
 
The technology has applications to almost any dermatologically applied product.  Since many active ingredients are irritating at high concentrations, their use in products is necessarily limited to reduce irritation. This may have the effect of also limiting the efficacy of the product. With the addition of strontium to the formulation, the concentration of the active ingredient can be selected to achieve maximum product performance with low or no irritation. Strontium has been commercialized in both cosmetic (e.g. “anti-aging” AHA and BHA products, moisturizers that protect against “environmental irritation”, etc.) and OTC products (e.g. Sunscreens, acne products ,etc.), and we plan to incorporate it into prescription drugs as well.  Using our technology, one could up the active medication in e.g. anti-aging cream, anti fungal cream, acne medication, anti itch ointment etc. thereby increasing efficacy without increasing irritation.  The IP is protected in all major world markets.  We specialize in the areas of  anti-aging, acne and anti-itch.
