Main Activities Product Testing - employed by national regulatory and public health authorities to independently assess products with very low 'risk tolerance' such as prophylactic vaccines, blood and immunological products to meet agreed quality specifications. Standardisation and Assay Development - provides common measurement standards to ensure batch to batch consistency of product and to ensure dosing accuracy of patients. Develops appropriate and improve existing methods for product testing. Applied Research- carries out independent and collaborative research programmes focusing on emerging quality and safety issues involved in biological medicines.
