Dr Gursharan Moonga is Director of BritHealth Drug Delivery
Technologies, (formerly Capsule Pharma). His company is involved in
Research & Development of new drug delivery systems. He has developed new technologies including: solubilising
technologies for problem pharmaceutical actives to increase
absorption/ bioavailability; oral and nasal delivery of peptides,
vaccines and proteins; controlled release delivery/ colon delivery of
liquid preparations in softgel capsule dosage form; fast dissolving
technology; odour & taste masking technology; topical and
transdermal delivery of toxic molecules. Dr Moonga has expertise in capsule technologies including improved
product development. Dr Moonga also acted as Chairman of Drug Delivery Systems
conference held in London on 29th and 30th June 1998. He has 18
years of experience in the pharmaceutical Industry involved in drug
development. He has developed new computer-aided methods
coupled with powerful optimization techniques to accelerate product
development. Dr Moonga obtained his Ph.D [1983] in pharmaceutical chemistry in
collaboration with the Institute of Cancer Research. He received his
BSc [Hons] and MPhil also from the University of London. Dr Moonga
is commercially-minded and innovative. Dr Moonga also works as an independent Project Manager for softgel
based drug development, sourcing and evaluation of new drug
