| Our client is a Contract Research Organisation who currently has an opportunity for a Senior Study Scientist.
The purpose of a senior study scientist is to be proficient and perform analysis of samples, development and validation of studies within the department of Immunoassay. They will also contribution towards reporting of data. A senior study scientist will achieve proficiency in the duties of a Study Director. Responsibilities - Participate in general laboratory house keeping and proactively identify and resolve issues arising
- To be responsible for the use and maintenance of laboratory equipment and proactively identify and resolve issues arising
- Be proficient in the conduct of sample handling studies
- Be proficient in the conduct of development and validation studies. Be responsible for experimental implementation within the study protocol remit
- Ensure Study director is kept informed of study progress
- To be competent in using at least two immunoassay platform and be receiving training in additional methodology
- To have an excellent understanding of the principles of immunoassay and the platforms undertaken within the department
- To be proficient and proactive in trouble shooting and problem solving of methods. Identify potential problems and proactively suggest solutions
- To be competent in study/laboratory-related activities, checks and record keeping
- Be proficient in the use of on-line data capture systems and office computers
- To perform accurate documentation and presentation of data.
Candidate requirements- Immunoassay based experience
- The position requires a degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
