Proteomics 200218 Feb 2002-20 Feb 2002 — Geneva, Switzerland (IBM Life Sciences)
The most recent estimate that there are about 30,000 genes in the
Human Genome, rather than 100,000 genes, has shifted the emphasis
over to the study of proteins as drug targets. Proteomics is evolving,
and advancements in the studies of protein-protein interactions,
quantification and comparisons of protein expression, annotated
proteomic databases and advanced protein function methodologies,
all promise to pay off in accelerating the identification of new, useful
therapeutic targets. This conference will examine the latest Proteomic
technologies, revolutionising and accelerating drug discovery and
development.
